  High performance insulation gasket used in Aerospace( 航空航天用高性能绝缘垫片):
Fluorphlogopite Mica (also called artificial mica, synthetic mica crystal) belongs to artificial mica crystal of silicate.
It is the mica crystal which is smelted in a platinum crucible at the condition of high temperature of 1500, and the condition of process and the material ratio is controlled strictly. Its chemical formula is KMg3 (AlSi3O10) F2, not containing (OH) -. Its texture is very pure, and has very good electrical performance. Its volume resistivity is 1015 1016 Ω·cm (1000 times higher than natural mica); electrical breakdown strength is185 238 kV/mm which is 10 times of polytetrafluoroethylene(ptfe); it can work under the condition of 1100 for long time. Fluorphlogopite Mica’s melting and crystallization temperature is 1375, and its stability of cold and hot shock is also very good. Through 10 times of cycle test by five CEPREI Laboratory(national testing center) in Guangzhou, Fluorphlogopite Mica’s properties are all qualified.
    Ordinary industries usually use natural mica and ptfe as the insulating materials.

Natural mica is one kind of underground ore formed naturally, belonging to silicate, and its ideal chemical formula is KAl2 (AlSi3O10) (OH) 2 and KMg3 (AlSi3O10) (OH) 2, containing OHˉ(hydroxyl). Because of the presence of hydroxyl (water molecules), all aspects of performance of natural mica is far below the Fluorphlogopite Micas. Natural mica contains more impurities, not stable electric performance, and the electrical properties under high temperature and high frequency is even worse. When the temperature is above 500, it will gradually lose the characteristics of mica because of dehydration.

PTFE, due to its poor temperature resistance, can only be used at the low temperature environment (generally not more than 300). And because of the metal impurities exist during the production process; its corona is not good.

Thus, the electrical insulation properties of natural mica and ptfe can not compare with Fluorphlogopite Mica’s.

Fluorphlogopite Mica is the ideal electric insulation material in the field of high-end science and technology. It has been used as the insulation gasket in aerospace equipments for ten years by the CLP Group Shijiazhuang thirteenth Research Institute since 2005. In ten years, Fluorphlogopite Mica has been used as the insulation gasket in all aerospace equipments such as Shenzhou eight, Shenzhou nine, Shenzhou ten spacecraft and the environmental satellite (JB nine) and so on by thirteenth institute.
